Haripriya used to participate in cultural programmes. On February 15, 2006 while she was coming back from dinner to her apartment, she fell while climbing the stairs, but made it to her second-floor apartment, where her father gave her painkillers. When she woke up the next day, her father called a doctor, who advised him to take her to hospital; she then underwent surgery at an hospital in Banjara Hills.

Arthi’s younger sister Adithi has also joined in films. Adithi acted in Allu Arjun's Gangotri.
